About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Advancement to serve as its chief fundraising strategist and relationship architect. This key leadership role involves shaping a comprehensive philanthropic vision that aligns with the organization's mission and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing an annual fundraising program, leading a team to modernize the advancement program, and managing a high-value portfolio of donors and prospects. The role also includes partnering with the President and CEO to integrate philanthropic priorities across various institutional efforts and deepening engagement with stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in securing major and leadership gifts, experience in mission-driven cultural or educational organizations, and a strong ability to build and steward relationships at the highest levels.

Applicants for the Vice President of Advancement position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in progressive fundraising or advancement leadership, with a focus on major and leadership giving. A Bachelor's degree is required, and an advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred. The role demands an exceptional relationship-builder with outstanding communication skills, strong strategic and financial acumen, and proficiency in CRM systems, ideally Salesforce NPSP. The candidate should be an inclusive, values-driven leader with a proven ability to partner effectively with senior executives, Boards, and volunteer leaders. Responsibilities also include team leadership, ensuring ethical fundraising practices, and overseeing the effective use of the Foundation's CRM to support data-informed fundraising. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ, with some travel required, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
