About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director to provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership for its multi-modal transit system. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of service provision and operations, ensuring the organization adheres to established policies and relevant laws and regulations. This role involves overseeing the budget and finances, leading and mentoring staff, and establishing cooperative relationships with the workforce. The CEO/Managing Director will also be tasked with managing relationships and building partnerships with a variety of stakeholders, including community and political leaders, and working closely with the Board and Senior Leadership team to develop and implement the strategic plan.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree preferred, and a minimum of 15 years of management experience, particularly in public transportation. The ideal candidate will be a customer-focused strategic thinker, a proven leader, and a change agent with a strong background in financial management, analysis, and policy development. A history of successful organizational transformation, advocacy for funding support, and experience in collective bargaining and negotiations are essential. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and a high level of personal and professional ethics and integrity.
