A Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to serve as Lead Nurse in a K-12 school setting, supporting the health and well-being of students and staff. This contract position is onsite and requires travel between 23 schools. The role involves overseeing health aides, administering medications, responding to health emergencies, and collaborating with school personnel and families to provide comprehensive care. Responsibilities: Act as Lead Nurse and supervise Health Aides on campus Provide first aid and basic healthcare services to students and staff Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by providers Support students with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and epilepsy Maintain accurate documentation including health office visits, medication logs, and immunization records Assist with student health screenings and contribute to IEP/504 plan support Respond calmly and effectively to health emergencies Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license CPR/AED certification required Experience working with children or in a school-based health setting preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to travel between assigned schools Successful background check and fingerprint clearancePreferred Qualifications: Bilingual in English and Navajo (Din) highly desirable Familiarity with IEPs and individualized student care plans Knowledge of school health regulations and FERPA compliance Location: Fruitland, NM (onsite, supporting multiple schools) Job Duration: Contract through end of school year (until May 29, 2026) Hours: 37.5 per week This position offers an important opportunity to contribute to student health and safety in an educational setting. xsgimln Qualified candidates who meet the outlined experience and certification requirements are encouraged to apply.
