Exciting opportunity for a fully licensed Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a dedicated in-person setting in Dulce, NM. This contract position spans the 2026 school year and offers the chance to make a significant impact on students with diverse needs. Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction to 11th and 12th-grade students with moderate to profound Autism and Intellectual Disabilities. Adapt teaching strategies to support a student who is non-verbal, deaf-blind, and has motor impairments. Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals assigned to high-needs students to ensure comprehensive care and support. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each students unique requirements. Monitor progress and communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and support staff. Maintain a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth and engagement. Qualifications & Experience: Must hold full licensure under the New Mexico Department of Education for Special Education. Proven experience working with high school students, particularly those with moderate to profound disabilities. Ability to work collaboratively with support staff to meet student needs. Strong communication and organizational skills. Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students with complex challenges.
