This position is based in Garden City, MI, at the high school level, with two openings to fillone covering an FMLA leave and another for a full semester. Responsibilities include managing a high school caseload and leading a Directed Studies class. The role requires close collaboration with general education teachers as part of the daily routine, primarily utilizing a push-in model with the teacher supporting students directly in the general education classroom, alongside occasional pull-out sessions. Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) is essential for success in this position. Qualified candidates must hold Special Education and Social Studies certifications. Experience working within high school settings and supporting students through differentiated instruction and collaboration with colleagues on best practices is highly desired.
