Role Description This is a full-time, Client Representative Construction Project Manager role based in New York, NY. The Construction Project Manager will act as an owner's advocate, overseeing projects to ensure goals, budget, and quality are met by managing communication, coordinating stakeholders (contractors, architects, engineers, expeditors, etc.), monitoring progress, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with standards, essentially serving as the client's "eyes and ears" through project completion. Key responsibilities include budget control, scheduling, quality assurance, risk management, and providing expert counsel to align the build with the owner's vision.
Core Skills & Attributes Leadership & Communication:
Superior verbal/written communication, negotiation, team coordination, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills, effectively manage client and stakeholder expectations Project Management:
Budgeting, scheduling (MS Project, Smartsheets), risk management, contract knowledge, problem-solving. Technical Expertise:
Reading blueprints/schematics, understanding building codes, safety regulations (OSHA), materials, and systems (MEP). Software Proficiency:
MS Office Suite, construction management software (Procore, Kahua, etc.), CAD, Microsoft Project, and other scheduling tools. Organizational:
Strong planning, prioritizing, documentation, and time management. Proactive and detail-oriented with a focus on client satisfaction. Ability to work under pressure and make timely, informed decisions.
Typical Activities Facilitating stakeholder meetings Conducting site walks, due diligence, competitive bids Reviewing contractor submittals and payment applications. Ensuring proper installation and quality control Providing creative and strategic input during design and construction. Ability to travel for client site visits
Qualifications Degree:
Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. Experience:
5-10+ years in construction management or general contracting, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Procore, Microsoft Project, Kahua, Smartsheets Strong skills in Project Coordination and Project Management to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication effectively. Experience with Budgeting and cost estimation, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills to address challenges and ensure team alignment. Knowledge of safety and regulatory compliance in construction projects. xsgimln
Pay Range: $100,000-$140,000, which is dependent on the candidates relevant skills and experience. References Requested
