*Job Summary*
We are seeking a *Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician* to join our growing *outpatient primary care clinic* in Pleasanton, California. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive medical services to infants, children, and adolescents, ensuring high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and compassionate communication. This role involves managing a diverse range of pediatric health issues, coordinating care plans, and utilizing advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to optimize patient outcomes. The Pediatrician will work within a collaborative environment that emphasizes evidence-based practices and continuous improvement in patient care standards.

You will build and manage your own pediatric patient panel while collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and primary care providers in a team-based care model
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct thorough medical evaluations, physical examinations, and assessments of pediatric patients across outpatient settings. * Develop and implement individualized care plans addressing acute and chronic conditions, including immunizations and preventive health strategies. * Utilize EHR systems such as Epic and EMR platforms to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently. * Manage a broad spectrum of pediatric health concerns, including respiratory therapy, dermatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, and infectious disease care. * Perform diagnostic evaluations using medical imaging (CT scans, radiology) and interpret results to inform treatment decisions. * Provide patient education on health maintenance, nutrition, behavioral health, family planning, and developmental milestones. * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including specialists in neonatology, pediatric critical & intensive care, surgery, and other subspecialties for comprehensive patient management. * Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of medical records while adhering to NCQA standards. * Participate in clinical research initiatives or clinical trials aimed at advancing pediatric healthcare practices. * Engage in continuous professional development through training on new technologies such as interventional radiology or perioperative care techniques.
*Requirements*
* Medical degree from an accredited institution with active licensure as a Pediatrician or Family Medicine Physician with pediatric certification. * Proven experience working with pediatric populations in outpatient or hospital settings; Level II trauma center experience is a plus. * Proficiency in EHR systems like Epic or other EMR platforms; familiarity with medical coding (CPT/ICD) is preferred. * Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology, anatomy, immunizations, and clinical evaluation techniques. * Ability to perform procedures such as suturing, basic airway management, and wound care confidently. * Experience managing complex cases involving neonatal ventilators or pediatric neuropsychology is advantageous. * Excellent communication skills for engaging with children and their families effectively. * Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient safety protocols. * Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric primary care * Perform well-child visits, immunizations, and developmental screenings * Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions * Manage asthma, ADHD, obesity, and common childhood illnesses * Order and interpret labs and imaging * Provide preventive care and family education * Collaborate with care teams and specialists * Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation * Participate in training and supervision of Nurse Practitioners as the program grows
