*Responsibilities*:
· Manage the entire estate administration process from inception to closure.
· Prepare and file probate documents, petitions, and related court forms.
· Coordinate communication with courts, clients, beneficiaries, and other relevant parties.
· Conduct legal research on probate laws, regulations, and case precedents.
· Analyze complex legal issues related to estate administration and provide strategic recommendations.
· Review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
· Prepare correspondence, affidavits, and other legal documents as needed.
· Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of estate administration.
· Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
· Oversee the management of estate assets, including financial accounts, real estate, and personal property.
· Work closely with financial institutions, appraisers, and other professionals involved in the estate settlement process.
· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing estate administration.
· Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to streamline workflow and ensure efficient case management.
*Qualifications*:
Education and Certification:
· Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
· Additional certification in estate planning or administration is a plus.
Experience:
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an estate administration paralegal.
· Proven track record of successfully managing complex estate administration cases.
Skills:
· Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
· Strong knowledge of probate laws and procedures.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
· Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Technology:
· Proficient in legal case management software, preferably Clio and/or NetDocuments
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
