*Responsibilities*:
Manage the entire estate administration process from inception to closure.
Prepare and file probate documents, petitions, and related court forms.
Coordinate communication with courts, clients, beneficiaries, and other relevant parties.
Conduct legal research on probate laws, regulations, and case precedents.
Analyze complex legal issues related to estate administration and provide strategic recommendations.
Review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
Prepare correspondence, affidavits, and other legal documents as needed.
Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of estate administration.
Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Oversee the management of estate assets, including financial accounts, real estate, and personal property.
Work closely with financial institutions, appraisers, and other professionals involved in the estate settlement process.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing estate administration.
Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to streamline workflow and ensure efficient case management.
*Qualifications*:
Education and Certification:
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
Additional certification in estate planning or administration is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an estate administration paralegal.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex estate administration cases.
Skills:
Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
Strong knowledge of probate laws and procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Technology:
Proficient in legal case management software, preferably Clio and/or NetDocuments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
