Conflicts Analyst
to support a Elite global law firm's conflicts management team. This is a temporary position, most likely the coverage will be 4 months or more. Responsibilities
Conduct regular conflict-of-interest checks and prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders. Work closely with attorneys and administrative teams to gather accurate intake data for new business intake and onboarding processes. Oversee conflict reviews related to lateral attorney hires, including managing candidate conflict questionnaires, coordinating internal reviewers, summarizing results, and facilitating conflict resolution with internal counsel or hiring partners. Research prospective clients and related entities using internal and external databases; provide summarizing guidance to address potential conflict or reputational concerns. Maintain and update conflicts and relevant operational databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with internal legal counsel to review conflict findings, discuss responses, and propose actionable resolutions. Follow up on pending new business or lateral hire cases to ensure thorough review and timely resolution. Respond promptly and professionally to departmental inquiries. Assist with training new team members and supporting process improvement initiatives. Participate in special projects related to conflicts management as needed. Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in conflicts or risk management in a law firm or professional services setting preferred. Prior experience with conflicts or risk management software or intake systems highly preferred. Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Confident communicator adept at interacting with legal and support professionals. Able to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy under pressure. Flexible availability for occasional extended or non-standard working hours.
