St. Clement Orthodox Christian Academy
St. Clement Orthodox Christian Academy is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Subject Area Specialist Teacher to teach within a department-based instructional model. Teachers may be responsible for a combination of subjects (such as Math/Science or ELA/Social Studies) and will work closely with colleagues to support the academic, spiritual, and personal growth of each child.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons within assigned subject departments (e.g., Math/Science or ELA/Social Studies).
Submit weekly lesson plans to administration.
Differentiated instruction to meet the academic needs of diverse learners.
Assessment & Grading
Design and administer assessments that reflect student learning and growth.
Maintain accurate and timely student records and grades in accordance with school policies.
Provide clear, timely feedback to students and parents.
Classroom & Student Management
Foster a structured, positive, and respectful classroom environment.
Implement and support the school’s student behavior expectations consistently.
Student Supervision & School Duties
Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, pick‑up, and drop‑off as assigned.
Support smooth movement of students between classes in a departmentalized setting.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding academic progress and student development.
Participate in parent‑teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and collaborative planning.
Work closely with fellow subject‑area and homeroom teachers to support student success.
Professional Growth
Participate in professional development opportunities provided by the school.
Engage in peer observations, collaboration, and reflective practice.
Community & School Life
Support and participate in school-wide events, liturgical activities, and community initiatives.
Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by administration.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Teaching experience preferred, especially in elementary or departmentalized settings.
Strong classroom management, organizational, and collaboration skills.
