The Application Review Specialist manages and maintains application, student, and education data within the CRM, student information system, and document imaging system, applying a strong understanding of business and technical requirements to support accurate and efficient application processing. Core responsibilities include high-volume data entry, as well as validation and auditing of applicant information, to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across Slate, Perceptive, and PeopleSoft. The specialist manages and supports data imports and exports for all application systems and troubleshoots data and file-processing issues. They work collaboratively with processing staff to monitor the effectiveness of application workflows, recommend improvements that enhance process efficiency and data quality, and develop and maintain detailed standard operating procedures. In addition, this position reviews and evaluates admission applications and provides frontline support for visitors, phone calls, and shared email. The specialist works independently with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, thinks logically, and exercises sound judgment.
This role requires strong technical proficiency with student information systems, document imaging platforms, and CRMs; comfort working with large datasets and system-generated reports; and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. The position works under general supervision, reports to admissions leadership, supports overall office and enrollment goals, and is fully in person (100%).
Core Job Accountabilities
Manage, process, and maintainapplication and student-related data within Slate (CRM), the imaging system (Perceptive), and the campus student information system (PeopleSoft), ensuring that records are accurate, complete, and consistently formatted.
Perform regular data entry, validation, and auditingof records to identify and correct errors and incomplete information, using system reports and queries as needed. Collaborate with operational leadership, as needed, to resolve data discrepancies and support process improvements.
Manage data imports and exports, including document imaging and accurate indexing. Verify successful file processing and troubleshoot failed imports/exports.
Review and evaluate admission applications, ensuring that all required data and documents are present and accurately recorded in the system.
Document data and process standards, helping to maintain clear procedures for data entry and workflow steps to ensure consistency across staff.
Exercise authority to make admission decisionsin alignment with institutional and system policies. Monitor and update applications and decisions to ensure that applicants move through the process in a timely and consistent manner.
Provide frontline supportby serving as a designated backup for front-desk operations, assisting walk-in visitors, phone calls, shared emails, and printing decision letters. May require student supervision responsibilities related to data entry standards, confidentiality, and system usage and training.
Perform additional projects and duties as assigned by admissions leadership.
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new systems and tools.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and data quality.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive information.

Understand and interpret policy pertaining to application processing.
Previous experience in a higher education setting.
