Elevance Health is recruiting for the role of
Behavioral Health Care Manager I
(AmeriBen) to work virtually full-time with required in-person training sessions.
Location & Hours This role is remote; candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance of the posting locations or have a legal accommodation. Hours: 8 am‑5 pm (local time).
Base Pay Range $62,640 / yr – $108,054 / yr
Key Responsibilities
Manage adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse diagnoses.
Coordinate substance abuse disorder facility‑based and outpatient treatment benefits via telephonic or written reviews.
Handle inpatient admissions, discharge planning, and step‑down needs.
Communicate directly with members for outreach.
Use screening criteria and clinical judgment to assess member needs and ensure access to medically necessary care in accordance with UM Clinical Guidelines and contracts.
Refer cases to peer reviewers as appropriate.
Coordinate and monitor psychiatric and substance abuse assessments, case planning, and evaluations to promote quality member outcomes and optimize benefits use.
Minimum Requirements
Compute MA/MS in social work, ноги, or a related behavioral health field; or a nursing degree with a minimum of three years of facility‑based or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment experience. Active, unrestricted license (RN, LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LBA, LMFT, or Clinical Psychologist) or Board‑Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) per applicable state law.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Case management ito wusste utilization management experience with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases.
