Behavioral Health - Care Manager II

Base Pay Range
$68,400 – $123,100 per year.
Location Virtual. Associate will work virtually full‑time, with occasional in‑person training sessions. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s) will not be considered unless an accommodation is granted as required by law.
How You Will Make An Impact
Use screening criteria and clinical judgment to assess member needs and ensure access to medically necessary, high‑quality behavioral healthcare.
Refer cases to Peer Reviewers as appropriate.
Coordinate psychiatric and autism assessments, implementation, case planning, monitoring, and evaluation to promote member health outcomes and optimize health benefit utilization.
Serve as a resource to other BH Care Managers.
Assist with complex cases and participate in inter‑ and intra‑departmental teams, projects, and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
M.A./M.S. in social work counseling or a related behavioral health field, or a nursing degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience with facility‑based and/or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment. Equivalent background also acceptable.
Current active unrestricted license (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LBA, LMFT, RN, or Clinical Psychologist) to practice within the scope of licensure in applicable states or territories. Licensure is required. In states that do not require licensure, a Board‑Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) is acceptable if certain criteria are met.
Prior experience in case‑management/utilization management with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases.
Prior managed‑care experience.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences
BCBA and LBA licenses strongly preferred.
