Location Mansfield, TX
Position Summary The Inventory Control & Shipping Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient shipping and receiving operations. This position is responsible for maintaining precise inventory records, supporting production processes, and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments. By managing daily inventory activities, processing production data in Oracle, and overseeing shipping schedules, this role helps maintain smooth warehouse operations and timely customer deliveries. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and communication are key.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Inventory Control
Perform daily inventory counts for raw materials on the floor, silo readings, and railcar transfers in Oracle.
Collaborate with the lab technician to obtain the recipe report, assign raw materials to finished products, and close production jobs in Oracle.
Process daily production in Oracle by applying recipes and Bills of Materials (BOM) to deduct raw materials and update finished goods inventory records.
Conduct weekly cycle counts for finished goods and raw materials; analyze variances with Plant, identify root causes, develop corrective actions, and update counts in Oracle.
Complete month-end inventory reconciliation and submit required paperwork, typically on the last Friday of the month unless production is running, in which case Saturday will be required.
Shipping/Receiving
Record daily production weights in pounds using Excel spreadsheets to maintain accurate tracking and reporting.
Scale trucks in and out and assist with confirming scheduled times for inbound and outbound truck appointments.
Communicate label requirements to the lab for raw material shipments and serve as backup for printing labels when needed.
Receive materials in Oracle.
Ship-confirm customer orders in Oracle, ensuring accurate shipment details, generating invoices, and closing out orders.
Maintain receiving and shipping logs – incoming and outgoing trucks.
Schedule and coordinate paperwork and scheduling time for inbound and outbound shipments.
Work with Procurement on railroad transactions.
Skills and Experience Education/Experience
HS diploma or GED
Microsoft Office: Intermediate Excel, Word
Knowledge of Oracle (preferred)
1 year experience with inventory management systems
Type 40-50 WPM
Read, write
Basic arithmetic math skills
Basic warehouse knowledge
Forklift experience (preferred)
