Role Description and Expectations
Participate in Pre‑Project Planning sessions to review scope, risks, and project details.
Develop accurate estimates including takeoffs, labor, materials, equipment, and risk factors.
Ensure pricing aligns with company margin targets and standards.
Obtain and confirm pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
Revise estimates as scope or project details evolve.
Support proposal development and insurance documentation (Xactimate as needed).
Prepare organized estimate documentation for handoff to Production.
Communicate regularly with Sales, Production, Project Managers, and leadership.
Track estimate progress and maintain organized files.
Project Types
Low‑slop/flat roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, PVC, Modified Bitumen, Built‑Up)
Metal roofing and specialty commercial systems
Insurance restoration and retail projects
Qualifications
5+ years of experience estimating low‑slop commercial roofing projects.
Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems and materials.
Experience with quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in Excel and estimating/digital takeoff software.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative, and virtual environment.
Field experience in commercial roofing.
Xactimate experience.
Experience with additional roofing systems.
Knowledge of manufacturer warranty requirements.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
Work Environment
Primarily office‑based with regular virtual collaboration.
Up to 10% travel for site visits or project meetings.
Valid driver's license required.
