Job Purpose And Summary As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. Technicians assist the pharmacy team to ensure that pharmacy operations run smoothly, prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and we provide caring service that exceeds patient expectations. They demonstrate genuine care and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities
Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation.
Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, creating heartfelt moments, offering immunizations, and solving or escalating patient problems.
Complete basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, etc.
Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to other stores.
Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies to ensure patient safety and privacy.
Deliver additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) where applicable.
Additional Immunization Responsibilities
Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
Educate patients about vaccine importance and refer to pharmacist for questions.
Monitor and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public health requirements.
Review, collect, and document patient information for each applicable patient.
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice (age, education, licensure/certification).
Minimum age: 16 if not specified by board.
Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent (or actively enrolled).
State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state.
Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
Complete required training within designated time frame.
Attention and focus: concentrate, pivot quickly, ensure prescription and label accuracy.
Customer service & team orientation: look for ways to help, engage kindly, notice patient reactions.
Communication skills: use and understand verbal and written communication, active listening.
Mathematical reasoning: use math to solve problems (e.g., calculate tablets, days supply).
Problem resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best course of action.
Physical demands: mobile, lift, reach, perform repetitive tasks; lift up to 20 lbs.
Any additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
1–3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Previous experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
Ability to work at home store and across market locations.
Compensation
Anticipated weekly hours: 29
Time type: Part time
Pay range: $18.90 – $28.90 per hour
