Overview The Emergency Department at Northwest Hospital currently sees over 60,000 patients per year and has 49 beds. The department treats major and minor illnesses, typically related to cardiac, stroke and behavioral health, as well as orthopedic injuries and minor trauma. Our rapid care area is designated for minor illnesses. Staff members are outgoing and positive, must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills, assess patient status, and effectively implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms.
Responsibilities Provides safe, age‑appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families as a member of the patient‑care team.
Qualifications
Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field
Bachelor's of Nursing preferred from CCNE accredited schools
Less than 1 year of experience
Maryland Registered Nurse License
American Heart Association CPR Certification
