This role offers an excellent opportunity for passionate professionals to make a meaningful impact while working with a diverse population of children and adolescents with exceptional needs.
Pay Range
$45.00/hr - $75.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Providing individual In‑home therapy and Telehealth therapy sessions.
Performing bio‑psycho‑social assessments.
Providing coping and social skills, anger management and reducing risk behaviors such as SIB or physical aggression.
Working to improve youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges.
Collaborating effectively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals.
Submitting all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.).
Attending monthly meetings and submitting mandatory clinical documentation.
Completing or being willing to train for Bio‑Psycho‑Social assessments.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields such as LSW, LAC, LFT.
Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training.
Training or willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training.
Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders.
Experience with creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments.
Experience in counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response.
Proficiency in using the DSM‑V for assessments and diagnosis.
Availability for a minimum 6–10 hours per week during after‑school hours of 12:00 pm through 8:00 pm; weekend flexibility is a plus.
Experience providing positive behavior supports.
Experience working with children ages 3–20; experience with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle.
Pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting.
Submission of resume plus copies of master’s degree and NJ or other state licensing documentation.
Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H‑1B or other sponsorship).
Note
State reciprocity considered; candidate must be no more than 25–30‑minute commute to designated service areas.
Licenses accepted: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC), Licensed Family Therapist (LFT).
License must be registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board.
