You Have

Four‑year college degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Material Science combined with 3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to standardization and production quality methods.

In lieu of a four‑year degree, 5 years of experience leading employees in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to standardization and production quality methods. Experience in Rolling Mill, Roll Shop, and Maintenance is preferred.

Strong working knowledge of steel manufacturing methods and techniques involving the use of heavy mill machinery and related equipment is preferred.

Knowledge of management methods and the use of complex technical and engineering processes.

Proficiency with SAP, QMOS, and blueprint reading is a plus.

People‑management skills are a must, with the ability to train and guide people.

Solid presentation abilities combined with good interpersonal and organizational skills.

Your Purpose You will provide leadership and establish a productive, high‑performing, and safety‑conscious work environment. You will focus on all aspects related to safety, environmental, production, cost, quality, and people management of the Roll Shop. You will be accountable for achieving measurable goals, including budget adherence, schedule compliance, and providing the necessary support for the Rolling Mill Department to accomplish its goals.

Your Work

Manage the workflow within the Roll Shop area, assist in minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity, monitor performance, manage routine processes, and train employees in routine management standards.

Facilitate training sessions for operators related to process procedures, policies, and best practices.

Coach and develop the team with failure analysis and support improvement initiatives.

Develop performance expectations, audit performance, document findings, and establish corrective action plans.

Collaborate with and encourage operators on subjects pertaining to Rolling Mill processes, standard audits, 5S initiatives, equipment assessments, preventive maintenance and safety processes and procedures, and other routine management activities to identify improvement opportunities and solve problems.

Conduct trend analysis, compile and analyze symptoms and failures. Manage the area’s budget and analyze areas for improvement.

Administer all safety activities. Coordinate all emergency preparedness practices, policies, and procedures.

Ensure process standards compliance. Design and implement new or update existing standards.

Audit performance, document findings, and develop corrective action plans.

Oversee, contribute to, and support daily routine management activities including the processes and tools.

Establish and negotiate area goals and manage action plans for the Roll Shop.
