Position Overview A mental health clinic in New York, NY is seeking a professional, compassionate, and organized Receptionist to support daily front-desk operations on a full-time temporary basis. This role is often the first point of contact for clients and plays a critical role in creating a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors in a warm, professional, and respectful manner
Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
Schedule, confirm, and update client appointments
Manage client check-ins and basic intake paperwork
Maintain accurate and confidential client records
Support clinicians and administrative staff with clerical and operational tasks
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and waiting area
Follow all HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Professional demeanor with a calm and compassionate approach
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
High attention to detail and confidentiality
Proficiency with basic computer systems and scheduling software
Prior experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is a plus, but not required
