Substitute Instructor I Hourly Rate:
$16.46
per hour (no benefits). The following position will require 48 college hours or a passing score on the Kentucky Para‑Educator Assessment.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Passing score on the Kentucky Para‑Educator Assessment or 48 college hours
Successful teaching experience
Experience working with children and parents with special needs, multicultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds
Program‑specific certifications/training
If your education is High School or G.E.D., you must pass the KPA. The exam is free.

Substitute Instructor II Hourly Rate:
$17.16
per hour (no benefits).
Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree or approved equivalent training (64 college semester hours) and experience
One (1) year successful teaching experience
Experience working with children and parents with special needs, multicultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds
Program‑specific certifications/training
Substitute Instructor III Hourly Rate:
$18.63
per hour (no benefits).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Three (3) years successful teaching experience
Experience working with children and parents with special needs, multicultural and multi‑ethnic backgrounds
Program‑specific certifications/training
The following items are required in order to approve all applicants for hire:
Criminal Records Check (instructions for CRC will be sent by JCPS Substitute Center)
Child Abuse & Neglect Check (instructions for CAN will be sent by JCPS Substitute Center)
TB Test Results (within 1 year)
Physical (within 1 year)
Official transcripts or High School Diploma
