Job Description The following details describe the position for an Associate Class A CDL Truck Driver.
Position Details
Pay rate: $30.60 per hour
Work schedule: 5 days per week, day shifts
Local – Home Daily positions
Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 (not eligible for individuals who have worked for a Performance Food Group owned company within the last 6 months)

Position Purpose Food and food service delivery drivers fulfil a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. They ensure customers receive products on time and in good condition while building lasting relationships with customers.
Primary Responsibilities
Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co‑workers professionally, answering questions accurately and promptly.
Act as a team‑member within the department and organisation, performing any duty assigned to best serve the company.
Perform all required safety checks (pre/post‑trip) and inspections per DOT regulations, taking appropriate action if needed.
Report all safety issues and repairs required.
Follow all DOT regulations, company safe‑driving guidelines, and policies.
Inspect trailer for proper load and secured freight.
Count items and check customer invoices of loaded products.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
Move tractor to the loading dock and attach pre‑loaded trailer as required.
Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedule.
Perform damage‑control checks, scan items, and contact supervisor about removing orders as per company policy.
Verify delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
Collect money (cash or checks) when required. Load customer returns onto trailer and secure doors.
Ensure tractor,Kwael trailer, and freight are properly locked and secured.
Unload damaged goods and customer returns; bring them to driver check‑in and complete necessary paperwork.
Remove trash and clean trailers as required.
Complete daily record of hours of service and enter in log per DOT, state, and company requirements.
Maintain housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and keep trailers clean.
At end of shift, secure all equipment and complete required paperwork.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
6+ months of commercial driving experience
High school diploma/GED or state‑approved equivalent
Valid CDL A
Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
Must be 21 years of age
Clean MVR for past 3 years
Pass post‑offer drug test and criminal background check
Pass road test
Valid current DOT health card or ability to secure one
Able to hand‑lift and use two‑wheeler, lift gate, or other equipment to move/stack freight (generally 10–35 lbs; up to approx. 60–90 lbs depending on location)
