Position Summary
Dal‑Tile is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will adjust and maintain machines and equipment to ensure proper operation. Primary Objective
Perform complex mechanical duties and a variety of electrical trade functions in the installation, maintenance, repair and/or distribution of electrical energy. Install, maintain and replace electronic programmable controllers in a manufacturing environment. Major Functions & Scope
Troubleshoot PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) using hand‑held devices or a laptop. Design, program and rewrite PLC and operator panel software. Format hard drives and install them to computers (computer setup) and PC applications. Install, maintain or repair equipment for the generation, distribution or utilization of electrical energy in a manufacturing environment. Locate and diagnose trouble in electrical systems or equipment using blueprints, drawings, layouts or other specifications. Perform standard load calculations related to wiring and/or electrical equipment. Apply knowledge of serial‑port communication systems, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and process‑control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches, etc.). Apply knowledge of servomotors and drive units. Continuously review the area for ideas and suggestions that drive productivity and reduce costs, and professionally present solutions for improvement. Plan, submit and execute process‑improvement projects. Use electrician tools, including measuring and testing instruments. Lead projects to completion, returning equipment to production safely and efficiently. Keep the work area safe, clean and organized. Performs other related duties as required.
Experience and Knowledge Required
High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of electrical code. Associate degree in industrial electronics preferred. 4+ years industrial maintenance experience and 2+ years industrial electrical experience. Formal PLC training preferred. Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office). Competencies
Ability to read blueprints. Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs. Pass an Industrial Maintenance exam with a score of at least 80 %. Read and understand procedures in English. Test motors and electrical circuits using a voltmeter and ammeter. In‑depth knowledge of LGV equipment and operation. Additional Information
Salary range: $37,791.00–$45,357.00 (Dickson, TN).
