Maintenance Technician – Covington, GA Base Pay Range $26.00/hr – $34.00/hr

Summary A Maintenance Technician is responsible for ongoing equipment maintenance, repairs, and ensuring safetyünder compliance across semiconductor and electronics manufacturing environments.

Duties and Responsibilities

Set up annual, quarterly, and monthly preventive maintenance schedules and implement backup plans.

Monitor the progress of preventive maintenance plans and update progress in the ERP system.

Inspect equipment condition and perform work to maintain stable operation.

Prepare and manage spare materials and tools for reliable maintenance.

Identify and replace broken parts or damaged wiring.

Address equipment failures and proactively inspect to prevent further issues.

Implement measures to prevent recurrence of equipment failures.

Plan and execute preventive maintenance of equipment.

Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.

Work various shifts, including days, nights, and overtime as required.

Create and manage comprehensive documentation, including standards, procedures, SOPs, and user manuals.

Analyze equipment breakdowns to identify underlying causes.

Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Provide training and coaching to technician personnel.

Required Qualifications

Two years of college or technical school (preferred, not required).

More than one year of experience in the semiconductor field (preferred, not required).

Experience maintaining and setting up semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

Experience maintaining manufacturing equipment for electronic components and automotive electronics.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Ability to cope with pressure and be a team player.

Capacity to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed.

Ability to lift 50 pounds without restriction.

Ability to stand and be on feet for up to 12 hours.

Safety and quality conscious mindset.

Goal‑ and customer‑oriented focus.

Skill handling small quantities of chemicals in a wet lab environment (applicable to specific job function).

Trainer/mentor/coach experience focused on individual and team growth.

Plumbing knowledge for handling leaks, clogs, or other drainage problems.

Electrical wiring capabilities to manage equipment electrical issues.

Ability to perform basic repairs around equipment.

Skill maintaining clean‑room equipment.

Interpersonal skills to interact pleasantly with employees or residents of the building.

Attention to detail to ensure jobs are completed exemplary and hazards identified.

Physical stamina for a full shift of active work.

Proficiency in CAD software.

Proficiency in MS Office for creating and managing equipment standards, procedures, SOPs, and manuals.
