Live In Caregiver Needed Sundays & Mondays
Immediate need for a live‑in caregiver for a client in the Seattle area. Shift runs from 8 AM Sunday morning through 8 AM Tuesday morning. Two‑day live‑in. Must have strong communication skills and be highly skilled in dementia care. Acti‑Kare Responsive In‑Home Care provides exceptional one‑on‑one senior care in homes across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties.
Base pay range $350.00/daily - Ancillary

Job Summary Our caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care. Duties include helping with ADLs, meal preparation, light housekeeping, bathing or showering, toileting or brief changes, laundry, medication reminders, light pet care. Client specifics: military veteran with Parkinson's, high fall risk, uses walker and wheelchair, some swallowing issues requiring food cut into bite‑size pieces and high monitoring at meals.
Responsibilities
Help clients take prescribed medication
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises
Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors, and family members
Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members
Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Previous caregiver experience preferred but not required
HCA or CNA certificate required or proof of current enrollment in an HCA or CNA training program
Positioned and willing to obtain HCA/CNA license within 200 days of hire
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
Current CPR (American Heart Association) certification a plus
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
Outstanding communication, time management and interpersonal skills
Physical endurance to complete required tasks
Must be willing to undergo a DHSH background check and fingerprinting as part of the hiring process
