Employment Status Notice:

Direct Instruction and Direct Services
Provide instruction and services aligned to students’
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
for students assigned to receive support in the
Special Day Program (SDP)
Deliver academic, behavioral, and transition supports in small group settings and/or general education classrooms in collaboration with general education teachers
Plan and implement accommodations, modifications, and behavior support plans to ensure access to core and/or alternative curriculum
Co‑teach general education classes to increase inclusive service delivery for students with disabilities
Provide consultation services, including:
Using evaluation data to inform instructional accommodations and modifications
Identifying and assessing behavior patterns
Applying effective classroom management strategies
Identifying appropriate instructional and support resources for staff and families
Collaborate with families, administrators, testing specialists, school psychologists, social workers, and related service providers to develop and monitor educational plans
Support
Student Success Teams (SSTs)
and
Section 504 teams
by developing intervention plans for at‑risk students
Facilitate professional development for staff on special education procedures, accommodations, modifications, and best practices for serving students with disabilities in general education settings
Train and supervise paraprofessionals in special education guidelines and implementation of IEPs; establish systems of accountability to ensure compliance and service quality
Confer with families and school staff to address students’ academic, behavioral, and social needs
Coordination of IEPs and Services
Maintain accurate student records and prepare IEP documentation in accordance with federal and state law, district policies, and administrative regulations
Participate as a member of the IEP team in placement decisions and IEP development, analyzing data to ensure accurate present levels of performance
Coordinate referrals, assessment procedures, IEP meetings, and implementation of special education services
Organize and distribute special education materials and resources to support instruction in general education classrooms

California Education Specialist Preliminary (Level I) or Clear (Level II) credential for Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs , OR
Be eligible for a
California Education Specialist Intern credential for Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs
(Intern credential must be earned by July 2026), OR
Be eligible for a
Short‑Term Staff Permit (STSP)
or
Provisional Internship Permit (PIP)
and hold valid
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
certification from the
American Heart Association
or the

$71,085 – $127,985 (based on education and years of experience)
Intern‑eligible or non‑credentialed teachers:
