Seeking a User Experience Designer to lead research, workflow mapping, and user journey development for complex, regulation-driven digital platforms. This role partners with business, legal, and technical stakeholders to ensure user-focused, accessible, and inclusive design solutions.
Responsibilities
Conduct user research and facilitate workshops to understand current workflows and pain points.
Create workflow maps, process documentation, and user journey maps to inform requirements.
Support development of user personas for providers and county agency users.
Collaborate with State UX strategists to maintain consistency with design systems and content standards.
Ensure written requirements use plain language and are accessible to diverse user groups.
Support content strategy for multi-language requirements (Spanish, Somali, Hmong).
Required Skills
3+ years of experience as a User Experience Designer.
Proven expertise in UX research, content strategy, and user experience design.
Strong competency in conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and journey mapping.
Ability to work with complex organizational environments and multiple stakeholder groups.
Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
Experience with public sector or regulated environments preferred.
Preferred Skills
Experience with multi-cultural or multi-language content strategy.
Familiarity with human-centered design methodologies.
