Position Purpose The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for designing, executing, and optimizing automated marketing campaigns across multiple channels to enhance member engagement and drive business growth. This role focuses on building journeys, managing platform operations, and supporting cross‑channel marketing strategies. Working closely with the Marketing Automation Manager, the Specialist ensures campaigns are delivered accurately, efficiently, and aligned with strategic objectives. The position also supports A/B testing, campaign quality assurance, and performance optimization to deliver personalized, data‑driven communications throughout the member lifecycle.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Design, build, and deploy automated journeys, including email campaigns, lead scoring, and segmentation.

Execute multi‑channel campaigns across email, SMS, push notifications, and website personalization to drive engagement and conversions.

Provide strategic insight into digital marketing channel utilization (email, website, mobile app, etc.) to support lead generation and member engagement.

Monitor marketing automation platforms to ensure optimal performance and identify anomalies.

Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize campaign delivery performance.

Create and manage forms, landing pages, and website personalization elements.

Execute A/B testing to improve targeting and engagement.

Develop deployment strategies to ensure campaigns reach the right audience right impact.

Assist with list management, segmentation, and delivery optimization.

Collaborate on reporting dashboards and insights to improve campaign performance.

Partner with analysts to monitor campaign and channel performance, providing actionable recommendations.

Collaborate across marketing, retail, IT, and product teams to ensure smooth integration and retention strategies throughout the full member lifecycle.

Qualifications Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field, and/or at least five years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification in marketing technology platform preferred.

Required Knowledge:

Three years of experience with marketing automation platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, or Eloqua. Knowledge of email marketing best practices, including audience segmentation, lead generation, and website personalization strategies to drive engagement. Familiarity with A/B testing and interpreting campaign performance metrics to inform future strategies.

Skills and Abilities

Proficiency with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, content management systems, and email service providers.

Experience managing journeys and multi-channel campaigns.

Established skills in navigating complex business issues and technical environments.

Experience with A/B testing, journey mapping, segmentation, and performance reporting.

Working knowledge of SQL preferred.
