Position Summary System One is partnering with our client in search for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their Quality Team. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) plays a critical role in ensuring that products and materials sourced from suppliers meet all required quality standards and specifications. This position is responsible for evaluating, auditing, and improving supplier performance while resolving quality issues,t throughout the supply chain process.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Assessment & Audits:

Evaluate potential suppliers, conduct facility and process audits, and verify compliance with quality standards and requirements. Perform periodic audits to ensure ongoing adherence to company and regulatory standards.

Issue Resolution:

Investigate and resolve supplier‑related quality issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality, including defect rates and areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

Collaborate with suppliers to enhance processes, performance, and quality management systems. Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and vendors to address quality concerns and develop effective solutions.

Data Management & Reporting:

Create and maintain supplier quality records, reports, and databases. Track performance metrics and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to organizational standards of excellence, including quality, in all products.

Comply with all company policies and procedures, including ethical guidelines, operational frameworks, and core values.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Technical Expertise:

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality Пом control methodologies, and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME).

Problem‑Solving:

Ability to analyze and resolve complex quality issues effectively.

Auditing Skills:

Proven experience conducting supplier audits and assessments in compliance with ISO 9001 and ASME Sect. VIII Div. I.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or logistics preferred, or 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Prior experience in supplier quality management, quality control, or related fields.

Proficiency in statistical analysis and quality assurance practices.

In‑depth knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes.

Familiarity with quality control standards and regulatory compliance.

ISO 9001 Auditor certification required.

Experience in ISO 9001 and ASME Sect. VIII Div. I environments.
