Join the Cleveland Clinic as a
Patient Access Representative
to deliver outstanding care in the Emergency Department. This part‑time role works evenings from 4:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. with rotating weekend and holiday requirements.
Responsibilities
Perform patient registration and collect co‑payments using Epic.
Verify insurance eligibility, gather demographic and financial information, and self‑screen patients.
Cross‑train to staff all patient access areas, including front desk, admitting office, ED, and cash register.
Act as a Super User and train new caregivers.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED with two years of customer‑facing experience, or an Associate’s Degree with one year of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree.
Knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders, or completion of an appropriate course within one year.
Basic PC software application skills and ability to use multiple data systems.
Confidence and efficiency in an emergency department setting.
Physical Requirements
Communicate and exchange accurate information.
Perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
Work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.
In some locations, travel throughout the hospital system.
In some locations, move up to 25 lbs.
Personal Protective Equipment
Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Pay Range Minimum hourly: $15.75 Maximum hourly: $21.65
The pay range reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Compensation will be determined based on work history, experience, skill set, and education, and does not include benefits or shift differentials.
