Job Description At TJX Companies, each day offers opportunities for growth and achievement. As a Retail Merchandise Associate at HomeGoods, you’ll provide a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and supporting store operations across multiple areas as needed.
Responsibilities
Deliver a customer experience that aligns with TJX’s principles, engaging and interacting with all customers.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns, count change back to customers according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Excellent customer service skills.
Flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multi‑task and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Capability to lift heavy objects.
Effective teamwork with peers and supervisors.
Preferred retail customer experience.
