Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
G3 Water Engineers is looking for a detail oriented individual with a thorough understanding of water and wastewater treatment process design as well as experience interfacing with clients and overseeing the project design to join our experienced team of engineers in Boise, Idaho. We are looking for highly technical individuals who will work under a Project Manager to perform high level process design, give direction to the drafting team to create drawings, and guide/mentor younger staff to deliver projects on time and on schedule. Strong interpersonal and time management skills are a must.
Job Summary Water/Wastewater Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering projects to a range of clients in the municipal and industrial sectors by working with a project manager to deliver multi-disciplinary designs that adhere to local or federal treatment guidelines. Applicants must have a strong technical background in water and wastewater process design, as well as sufficient experience coordinating the completion of project deliverables with a team of EI’s and drafters. This individual may assist Project Managers in marketing efforts, including proposal writing, to grow our client list. A Project Engineer with G3 will take ownership over the day-to-day delivery of projects with oversight from a Project Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or equivalent is required.
Professional Engineering license, or ability to obtain within 1 year is preferred.
PE, EI, or EIT license required.
3-7 years experience with water and wastewater treatment and conveyance design.
Preferred proficiency in AutoCAD products such as Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and/or Revit.
Preferred proficiency in hydraulic and process design programs such as BioWin, WaterCAD, or Bentley Flowmaster.
Working understanding of adjacent disciplines including civil, mechanical, electrical, and controls.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Ability to self-direct work and oversee a project team to complete projects, with support from a Project Manager.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Industrial and Municipal clients.
Assist Project Manager with marketing tasks including proposal writing and conference attendance.
Strong project delivery skills including QA/QC, and the ability to manage multiple project scopes simultaneously.
Supervise and mentor EIs and drafting staff.
Ability to travel to out-of-state client sites for marketing purposes up to six times per year.
Proficient in construction support capabilities, answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and coordinating Change Orders.
