Job Description
Perform daily store and delivery operations for a pizza restaurant, ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Operate all kitchen equipment and prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility daily.
Deliver product by car and to customers’ doors, delivering flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle for deliveries.
Pass a background check and maintain open availability.
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Verbal and telephone communication skills to process orders.
Ability to train, lead, and work in a team environment.
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and handle monetary change accurately.
Proficient in entering orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Maintain cost controls and adhere to quality standards.
Training Orientation and on‑the‑job training will be provided.
Essential Functions / Skills
Accurate numerical calculations and making correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
Good motor coordination and hand‑eye coordination for rapid and precise movements.
Ability to navigate using maps and locate addresses within the delivery area, including multi‑story buildings and private homes, while carrying product.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, carry, push, climb stairs, and perform other occupational tasks.
Work Conditions
Exposure to variable weather conditions during outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures ranging from 36°F to above 90°F.
Fumes from food odors and exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped and hot work areas, including walk‑in coolers and hot surfaces up to 500°F.
Sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and potential for repetitive stress.
Tasks performed while standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing.
