Lead Tuxedo Staff - Outbound

About the Job As a Tuxedo Outbound Lead, you must be dependable, responsible, and able to work at a fast pace while, being able to occupy yourself with new tasks as needed. This includes properly monitoring the efficiency, productivity, and overall workload of your team. You must also be a team player with a solid work ethic who is always prompt, on time, and committed to maintaining consistent work attendance. It will also be important that you display exceptional attention to detail as well as the adaptability to move to a different position in the shipping environment as required.
Key Accountabilities
Assist management in providing hands‑on leadership while performing day to day tuxedo activities on the warehouse floor to ensure daily workload is completed in a timely and efficient manner
Work closely with management and team members to ensure merchandise are processed and products are delivered in compliance with business requirements, on schedule, and within budget
Track information to facilitate the flow of merchandise via Oracle
Scan trollies of tuxedos and their locations
Perform processes such as sorting to rail, restocking by zone, and processing locates
Troubleshoot and resolve missing items and kicked reservations
Demonstrate knowledge of allowable substitutions when needed
Provide hands‑on leadership on the warehouse floor to train, inspire, and motivate the work of hourly warehouse team members in order to achieve desired results in productivity, teamwork, safety, quality, and job knowledge
Assist in assuring the inventory of merchandise is in the proper designated areas
Participate in management training exercises and attend daily department meetings
Suggest and recommend improvements that would further increase departmental performance
Ensure warehouse material handling equipment and tools are operating properly and safely so that employees are able to perform their job functions without interruption
Advise management of any breakdowns and maintenance needs immediately to ensure good routine preventive maintenance on all equipment
Assist with overseeing employee performance and provide regular coaching, communication, and feedback on production goal and expectations
Effective time management, conflict management, and problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
Provide proper follow‑through and maintaining a good flow of communication with management and all personnel
Maintain professional and strong working relationships with team members, management, customers, and vendors while ensuring prompt and courteous customer service
Help maintain and promote positive employee relations and morale whenever possible by practicing good servant leadership principles in a contextual environment to always promote teamwork
Contributes to building and fostering a positive team spirit and support company’s goals and objectives by providing outstanding performance and customer service
Ensure employees attend required safety meetings and report Workers’ Compensation injuries to management immediately
Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA regulations
Complete special projects as needed, and any additional duties assigned by management team
Skills & Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent required, additional education is a plus
Minimum of one year’s experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume distribution center environment with strong work ethics and a high degree of excellence
Prior working experience in a production, distribution, and warehouse environment
Basic knowledge of computer skills in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn proprietary programs
Working knowledge of Oracle reporting software, a plus
Prior experience in the use of warehouse material handling equipment and tools
Good communication and people skills are required with excellent command of the English language
Demonstrated ability to motivate, encourage, and lead team members
Must have strong commitment to quality and ability to provide outstanding customer service
Excellent attention to detail, ability to follow directions and apply problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
Good mathematical and counting skills required
Highly motivated and high initiative in providing proactive efforts in seeking solutions to problems and willingness to take on new tasks, challenges, and opportunities
Good organizational, analytical, multitasking, and follow‑up skills
Must maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times with the highest level of customer service
Must possess good judgment and fairness when making decisions, and in coordinating and assigning work to team members
Must be goal oriented and task driven to meet deadlines
Possess a sense of urgency to work in a time sensitive, fast‑paced team environment
Ability to work in all areas of production in Tuxedo department and other duties assigned by management
Reporting – Working Relationships Reports directly to Tuxedo Management.

Continuously standing, walking, sitting, reaching and working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, stretching, crouching, and crawling
Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping, reaching, pulling, and pushing
Frequent use of ladders and/or lift equipment
Frequently lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds or more
