About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Capital and Construction to lead a significant 5-year capital program. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and strategic leader, responsible for all phases of procurement, design, and construction of major capital projects. This role involves close collaboration with the Senior Vice President of Capital Strategy, Real Estate, and Development, as well as the Senior Director of Planning & Architecture, to oversee the feasibility, program, and budget development, and ensure the success of projects at all stages. The VPCC will also be involved in the annual preparation of the university's 5-year capital budget and will have ultimate responsibility for the strategies, operational excellence, finances, teams, relationships, and contracts related to the capital program.
Applicants for the Vice President of Capital and Construction position at the company should have a minimum of 25 years of construction management experience, with a strong background in general construction and development execution. A proven track record of providing excellent customer service and at least 15 years of progressively responsible management experience is required. The role demands a leader with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related design discipline.
