About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel with a focus on Healthcare and Research Transactions. The successful candidate will serve as a lead transactional attorney, providing expert legal guidance on a range of healthcare transactions, including physician group acquisitions, healthcare affiliations, and services agreements. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare regulatory issues, particularly those related to the Stark Act and anti-kickback laws. The Associate General Counsel will be responsible for structuring, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing various healthcare transactions, and must stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments affecting healthcare providers.
Applicants must have a Juris Doctor degree, be an active member of at least one state bar association, and have a minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years specifically in advising healthcare clients. The role demands a high level of expertise in healthcare service contracts, physician compensation, and employment law, as well as experience in emerging models of compensation in healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining positive, collaborative relationships, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a team and with a high degree of integrity.
