Position Overview A well-established wholesale electronics company based in New York, NY is seeking an experienced and results-driven
Division Manager
to lead and grow its Hardline Electronics category. This is a senior-level leadership role for a proven operator with a minimum of
5 years of experience managing a full P&L
within a wholesale, electronics, or hardline consumer products environment.
Key Responsibilities
Own full P&L responsibility for the Hardline Electronics division, including revenue, gross margin, expenses, and profitability
Develop and execute short- and long-term strategies to grow sales, improve margins, and increase market share
Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed budget targets
Oversee pricing strategy, cost structures, and vendor negotiations to maximize profitability
Manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for the division
Lead inventory planning and purchasing strategies to optimize turns, minimize obsolescence, and support sales growth
Work closely with sourcing, logistics, and operations teams to ensure product availability and efficient execution
Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, manufacturers, and strategic partners
Collaborate with sales leadership to support key accounts, promotions, and growth initiatives
Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer demand to inform product assortment decisions
Ensure operational excellence across order flow, fulfillment, and customer satisfaction
Prepare and present regular performance reports and business reviews to senior leadership
Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team across sales, merchandising, and operations functions within the division
Set clear goals, expectations, and accountability for team performance
Foster a results-driven, collaborative, and high-performance culture
Support hiring, training, and professional development of team members
Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure smooth execution of division objectives
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a full P&L for a product category or division
Strong background in wholesale electronics, hardline consumer goods, or related industries
Proven ability to drive revenue growth and improve margins
Advanced financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
Strong negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers
Experience managing inventory, pricing, and product lifecycle strategies
Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
