Job Description The following responsibilities apply to all hourly store team members. Please review the detailed information listed below.
Duties
Operate all store equipment.
Stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product for sale.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facilities approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication Skills Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions & Skills
Accurate mental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to use a calculator if needed.
Make correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, precise movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Physical Demands
Stand for most tasks; walk on varied flooring.
Lift traffic items up to 50 pounds; carry up to 30 pounds on short distances.
Involve hand‑to‑hand coordination, bending, bending backward, and reach to 72 in.
Perform occasional climbing of stairs or ladders.
Work Conditions Varied weather exposure when removing trash and performing outside tasks; indoor temperatures ranging from 36 °F in the cooler to 90 °F or higher in some areas. Exposure to food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces/tools, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts.
Additional Information Some team members may be assigned driver or store‑management duties, which include:
Delivering products by car to customer addresses.
Delivering flyers and door hangers.
Requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and access to an insured vehicle.
Navigational skills for multi‑story buildings and adverse terrain.
