Duties

You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN) in the CRYPTOLOGIC WARFARE REQUIREMENTS DIV, WARFARE REQUIREMENTS DIR, OFFICE OF THE COMMANDER, at U.S. FLEET CYBER COMMAND.

You will plan and conduct capability reviews and gap analysis to evaluate current and future Navy shore and afloat networks.

You will apply independent judgement in selecting and applying appropriate IT and requirements analysis methods to engage with representatives in support of program requirement reviews.

You will advise N8 leadership as to the best approach for implementation of requirements within the technical and resource environment, to include annual Program Budget Review issue development.

You will monitor Navy's Program/Budget System databases, so the command meets all budget cycle requirement deadlines, and leadership is informed of significant program status changes.

You will identify execution year shortfalls and unfunded priorities affecting Navy Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) and cryptologic programs.

You will participate as a functional and analytical Subject Matter Expert (SME)/Command representative in supported working groups and coordinate inputs and responses for final review.

You will maintain a comprehensive understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) and National Security Agency (NSA) requirement and acquisition processes.

Requirements

Must be a US Citizen.

Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 752, proficiency level ADVANCED, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.

Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).
