A high-performing acute care hospital on the Emerald Coast is seeking an experienced
ICU Registered Nurse
to join a
night-shift critical care team
supporting a newly developed intensive care unit. This role provides the opportunity to deliver advanced, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment with strong leadership presence and excellent access to equipment and resources. This position is ideal for ICU, ER, CVICU, or strong PCU/IMCU nurses looking to grow within critical care. Overview
Overview Responsibilities
Deliver high-acuity, patient-centered care to critically ill ICU patients Perform frequent, detailed assessments and continuous hemodynamic monitoring Manage vasoactive drips, ventilated patients, and complex medical conditions Advocate for patients and families while maintaining privacy and confidentiality Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and care plans Accurately document patient condition, interventions, and responses to care Contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Qualifications
Minimum
1 year of recent acute care ICU, ER, or CVICU experience
PCU/IMCU experience considered with 2+ years of experience
Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license
Florida license required within 60 days of relocation
Associate Degree in Nursing Required Certifications (timelines apply)
BLS – within 30 days of hire ACLS – within 90 days of hire Nonviolent Crisis Intervention – within 90 days Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – within 90 days Preferred

10-bed ICU with private rooms 1:2–1:3 nurse-to-patient ratios (days and nights) Continuous telemetry monitoring Typical census: 8–10 patients Patient population includes medical/surgical ICU, ventilated patients, cardiac, pulmonary, metabolic, and low-acuity trauma Strong leadership presence and team-oriented culture Shadow shift required (aligned to shift preference) Compensation & Benefits
