Maintenance Technician

⏱ Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
About The Opportunity Join a well‑established manufacturing company in Grand Rapids as a Maintenance Technician on the day shift. This hands‑on role supports production by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment repair. The position is well suited for someone who enjoys working with machinery and keeping operations running efficiently.
What You’ll Do
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on in‑plant equipment to support production capacity
Complete hoist, pump, and general equipment maintenance and assist with new equipment installation
Handle basic electrical, plumbing, and building repairs
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, with exposure to PLC systems
Follow lock‑out tag‑out procedures and safely operate job‑specific equipment
Support ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 9001 QMS requirements, including participation in internal audits
Adhere to OSHA and internal safety standards while maintaining a clean work environment
Preferred Skills
Hands‑on equipment repair experience
Electrical maintenance or PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
Forklift operation experience
Basic computer, math, and communication skills
Ability to perform physical work safely
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Relevant college‑level coursework or trade school training
Ability to stand, bend, or twist for up to 80 percent of the shift and lift up to 70 pounds
Comfortable working in a hot or humid manufacturing environment
