Overview We're hiring: Data Center Operations Technician to join Sabey Data Centers in Austin, TX. What you'll be doing

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems

Troubleshoot and repair complex building systems in a 24/7 data center environment

Operate and monitor advanced building automation and control systems

Work alongside a collaborative team committed to safety, reliability, and operational excellence

Work schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (day shift) for training (90 days). Regular shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 rotation with every other weekend off.

Sabey Austin is a purpose‑built campus offering 430,000 sq‑ft of reliable colocation, high‑density cooling, low cost of power, and eight layers of security. It is located 17 mi north of Downtown Austin.

Role Responsibilities This position will be responsible for hands‑on day‑to‑day operation of a 24/7 data center that includes administrative office space. The facility incorporates state‑of‑the‑art redundant power and environmental systems. Key duties include:

Equipment maintenance and repairs

Troubleshooting and issue resolution

Preventive maintenance and upgrades

Equipment inventory management

Monitoring and alarm response

Vendor and contractor collaboration

Compliance and safety

Disaster recovery and business continuity

Support to senior technicians and engineers

Facility organization

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

General maintenance skills or relevant experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Ability to respond promptly to on‑call situations.

Time‑management skills – ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Salary Anticipated annual base salary range: $54,987 – $82,480.
