The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery of products. This role provides leadership to production teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures resources are aligned to meet business objectives. The Production Manager partners closely with cross-functional departments including Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees

Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures

Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work.

Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline employees to ensure a safe, engaged, and high-performing workforce.

Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day production activities to meet customer requirements in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.

Monitor production performance using KPIs such as throughput, yield, downtime, and labor efficiency; implement corrective actions as needed.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety first.

Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain to optimize scheduling, materials availability, and workflow.

Champion Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste and increase productivity.

Partner with Quality Assurance to resolve product issues and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Drive accountability for meeting budget targets for labor, materials, and overhead.

Lead problem-solving activities using root cause analysis and structured methodologies.

Support talent development, performance management, and succession planning within the production team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Minimum 5+ years of progressive experience in production or operations management within a manufacturing environment.

Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and ERP/MRP systems.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Work with a high degree of emotional intelligence and business integrity
