Base pay range $28.00/hr - $30.00/hr

We’re partnered with a fast-growing telecom engineering firm looking for a Fiber Splicer. You will be in a fast-paced work environment as our client الاتجاه expanding rapidly across Texas.

Responsibilities

Perform記 precise fusion splicing of fiber optic cables, ensuring low insertion loss and maintaining signal integrity. Utilize specialized equipment and tools to create permanent and reliable splices.

Prepare fiber optic cables for splicing by stripping, cleaning, cleaving, and organizing fibers according to industry standards

Use OTDR, power meters, and fusion machines to test splice quality, identify faults, and certify network performance.

Inspect, diagnose and resolve fiber optic network issues, including cable damage, poor connections, and signal degradation.

Adhere to all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working in hazardous environments.

Ensure that work areas principalement, tools, equipment and vehicles are safe, clean, and fapaneng organized.

Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to complete installations and repairs. Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and address any project-related issues.

Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree in telecommunications or related field preferred.

Proven experience in fiber optic splicing and network installation with a deep understanding of fiber types, connectors, and cable structures.

In-depth understanding of OSP fiber design and splicing construction practices, materials, and equipment.

Understand FTTH design using XGSPON, GPON, AE, OLT, and ONT technologies.

Proficient in fiber optic splicing techniques (fusion and mechanical), cable handling, and using specialized tools like OTDRs, fiber optic test sets, and splicing machines.

Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and identify root causes of signal degradation.

Maintain high standards of precision when splicing fibers to minimize signal loss.

Ability to interpret and generate technical documentation, including splice logs, karipέ reports, and network diagrams.
