Automotive General Sales Manager - Muskegon, MI market
Automotive General Sales Manager needed for growing family-owned dealership in the Muskegon, MI market. This person will be responsible to drive sales, close deals, desk deals, and manage the sales team on a daily basis. It's important that this person is strong at managing incoming leads, training & developing the sales staff, and is someone who works well with the F&I department. Great opportunity for a motivated General Sales Manager that wants to make things happen and is a true leader to the variable team. The dealership has a good foundation in place but needs the right leader to tie everything together. Must be a good team builder, someone who leads by example, and someone who is consistent with policy, procedure, and accountability. Strong long-term F&I Manager in place and some tenured sales staff - though the GSM hired needs to commit to training and developing the greener sales reps so they can continue to develop with the store and have the tools to succeed. Modern facility and family type atmosphere. This position reports directly to the Dealer Principal who is looking for a long-term leader for the dealership.
Responsibilities
Take an active, lead-from-the-front approach to driving sales ქვეყ&profitability.
Coach, train, and develop a sales team to hit volume and gross targets.
Maintain a strong presence on the showroom floor, actively engaging with customers and staff to push results.
Establish a positive, high-energy sales culture focused on professionalism and accountability.
Work the desk, structure deals, and be directly involved in closing and TOs to maximize every opportunity.
Run morning meetings to get the day started and team motivated.
Implement and refine processes to enhance efficiency, profitability, and long-term stability.
Drive consistent, month-over-month growth by improving sales strategies, lead management, and customer retention efforts.
Develop, mentor, and coach the sales team, ensuring a high-performance culture.
Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and team training sessions.
Oversee internet lead handling.
Compensation / Benefits
Compensation package will be in the $125,000 - $150,000 range based on performance, with true room for growth. The goal is this person will continue to grow the store in both gross and volume and earn in the 150k-200k range in year two.
5 day work week.
