Your Role: Be a Front-Line Hero As a Mobile General Skilled Technician, you will operate from a fully equipped service vehicle, serving as the go-to expert for maintaining commercial properties in Spartanburg. Your work will ensure facilities remain in top condition, helping clients avoid costly repairs while delivering exceptional service. Key responsibilities include: Performing general repairs and small service projects (e.g., painting, carpentry, minor plumbing) Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with appliances, building elements (walls, windows, doors), and equipment Conducting inspections and maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance Providing minor HVAC and plumbing support to trade-specific technicians Communicating with clients to confirm requests and ensure satisfaction Adhering to safety procedures and building regulations Using company-issued cellphone and tablet to manage work orders and communication Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities What We're Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED required; trade school education in building-related courses preferred Experience: Proven experience in general repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing) in the commercial market Certifications: Relevant training certifications are a plus Physical Requirements: Proficient with tools and equipment (e.g., ladders, drills, saws) Ability to lift and carry materials as needed for repairs and maintenance Skills & Abilities Proficiency with power tools (drills, saws, etc.) and ability to provide repair estimates Strong safety practices and adherence to regulations Excellent customer service and professional demeanor Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to read blueprints, plans, and diagrams Budget management skills for project estimates Comfort with palmtop computers (cellphones, tablets) for work orders and communication Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet client expectations Why BGIS is Your Ideal Employer Impactful Work: Keep commercial properties running smoothly, directly supporting our clients' success.
