$182K – $235K per year (based on experience) Description: We’re seeking a
Senior Physicist – Advanced Proton Radiation
to play a pivotal role in a progressive Radiation Oncology team. This role focuses on the safe, precise, and optimized delivery of proton radiation therapy, combining clinical practice with research and education. Working under the direction of the Medical Physics Director, you will contribute to treatment planning, dosimetry, quality assurance, equipment calibration, and radiation safety. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes while supporting innovation and compliance in a high-acuity environment. Responsibilities and Duties: Design and optimize proton therapy treatment plans across diverse clinical cases. Oversee precise delivery of proton radiation therapy, ensuring clinical accuracy. Lead quality assurance (QA) processes for radiation oncology equipment. Maintain strict compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and radiation safety standards. Support ongoing physics services including equipment calibration and dosimetry. Guide equipment selection, testing, and integration. Oversee radiation protection programs for patients and staff. Contribute to clinical research, protocol development, and educational efforts. Maintain board certification and stay current through continuing education. Requirements: Education: Master’s degree in Medical Physics –
Required PhD in Physics or related field –
Preferred Certification & Licensure: Board certification by ABR or BMP –
Required Florida Therapeutic Radiological Physicist (TRP) License –
Required Experience: Minimum 5 years in a multi-modality radiation physics program Minimum 3 years in proton therapy –
