Job Summary
The Talent Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing the employee experience at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver (BGCMD). Reporting to the Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), this position is a strategic and hands-on member of BGCMD’s HR team, driving the design and delivery of onboarding, training, and engagement initiatives that create an exceptional employee experience. This role ensures every new hire and internal employee transferring feels welcomed, supported, and set up for success from day one.
As the organizational lead for New Hire Orientation, onboarding, HRIS administration, and Learning Management System (LMS) oversight, the Talent Manager blends operational excellence with a passion for culture-building. Partnering with the CHRO and Director of HR, they craft and deliver innovative leadership development, professional training, and engagement efforts that reflect BGCMD’s values and commitment to inclusion, growth, and performance.

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Social Science, Psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university. Three years of training, facilitation, or organizational development experience. One year of this experience must be performed in a nonprofit or youth-serving organization environment Ex: Responsible for writing training guides for teen workers 4-H summer camp program *Relevant coursework or experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate in this position should possess:
Strong business acumen; able to align training and onboarding programs with organizational goals and manage within budget
Excellent collaboration skills; able to partner with staff, leadership, and subject matter experts to execute high-impact initiatives
Effective communicator with the ability to present, instruct, and engage diverse employee audiences
Experience administering HRIS and LMS platforms (UKG and Cornerstone preferred)
Proven ability to design and deliver inclusive, engaging onboarding and professional development programs
Skilled in evaluating training needs and using data to improve learning outcomes and employee experience
Confident decision-maker who can identify, select, and implement best-fit training solutions
Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and facilitation techniques
Strong leadership skills; capable of motivating others and managing projects across teams and functions
Familiarity with employee engagement tools, survey analysis, and action planning
Commitment to advancing equity, inclusion, and belonging in workplace culture
Experience working in youth-serving, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations Conditions of Employment
The position requires passing criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
The position must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
The position will primarily work indoors. Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment is required.
Some job duties require the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 25 lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may be required on occasion.
Strong English proficiency is required for this position to ensure effective communication with staff, club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately. #J-18808-Ljbffr
