Manager, Chemical Engineer – Innovation

At New Balance, we're soaring to new heights, and we need your technical expertise to fuel our innovation ambitions. Our brand is on a meteoric rise, and we're looking for talented engineers to join our team. Our goal is to create disruptive experiences that exceed athletes' expectations. In this role, you will lead the team to develop innovative sole materials and processes, working closely with athletes and cross-functional teams to address unmet needs. Major Accountabilities: Lead validation and engineering of new sole materials and processes aligning with brand integrity, design, innovation, and profitability. Develop talent, tools, processes, and protocols for a state-of-the-art engineering team. Research consumer and industry benchmarks; drive creation of novel chemistries and processes exceeding expectations and sustainability goals. Collaborate with Asia Chemistry team to ensure best practices are shared and implemented across teams. Manage cross-functional teams and partners to ensure project timelines are met, providing support and solutions as needed. Requirements for Success: Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or related field, with experience in consumer product creation. 10+ years professional experience with proven management skills. Deep knowledge of footwear manufacturing, materials, and processes. Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and computer skills (CAD, Adobe, etc.). Track record of commercializing new concepts in fast-paced environments. Benefits:
